The purpose of the publication is to analyze the political revolution of 1917–1920 as a defect in the functioning of the state body; characterization of national liberation military competition as inappropriate social mobility, which would ensure a peaceful rotation of elites, while contributing to the necessary socio-economic changes. The research methodology is based on the principles of specifically historical, problem-chronological approaches, objectivity and integrity, as well as the use of methods of analysis and synthesis. The scientific novelty of the publication lies in the interpretation of the course of events of 1917 – 1920 as a “wrong revolution”, despite the positive connotation of the term “political revolution”.
